    Build a Power Inverter

Can I build a power inverter?

Yes many people have successfully built their own power inverters. They usually save about 50-60% off of retail prices when building one. They need a lot of knowledge of electronics and it may require specialized equipment, but building a power inverter can be done. Most people build modified sine wave power inverters.

Believe it or not, but most of our customers who build inverters usually get an inverter install kit from OutsideSupply.com. This is because we carry easy to use heavy duty install kits. These aren't the cheap install kits that take hours to bend and coerce into place. These are high quality install kits for those individuals who build their own power inverters.

We have also found many people who have built inverters have used parts from broken inverters to piece together their own. This has helped them save money on parts, especially on casing and heat sinks.
