Power Inverter for Pop Up Camper

Can pop up campers use a power inverter?

Many power inverters are used in pop up campers. Pop up campers are great for a variety of reasons. They are light and easy to tow. They also usually have tent sides and smaller bathrooms.

They are however packed full of features. Adding a power inverter to run a TV , laptop, or DVD player while on vacation can be a great addition to the pop up's functionality.

Many people buy smaller power inverters to use in their pop ups. This is because a 300 watt ac power inverter will run in 12 volt cigarette lighter sockets in the pop up. This allows easy access to power for your TV, XBOX, or laptop. 300 watts is usually the most you can run without hardwiring. This is because wiring to the sockets is usually not rated for higher loads. Also fuses will usually blow above 300 watts.
