Running a battery charger with Power Inverter!
![]()
We usually run a battery charger with a power inverter in applications where shore power will become available. We do carry a few inverter charger models. We have found that sometimes it is easier to buy the charger and the inverter separate. This gives you more flexibility on charger size and inverter size.
You probably also need a power inverter Transfer Switch. Don't worry we carry those too, along with power inverter installation kits.
In larger power inverter applications usually will us a transfer switch with a 45 amp or larger battery charger. I then connect the backup power on the transfer switch to a 3000 watt true sine wave power inverter. This way when shore power fails, the charger goes off and the inverter kicks in.
