We have had larger units. We wanted something that would get better fuel mileage and could be pulled by my Jetta TDI. The teardrop camper we purchased fit the bill perfectly. While it is small, it is comfortable to sleep in. I added air conditioning and all the other comforts of home, less the indoor bathroom. Since we like State Parks, we always have facilities. If we can't get them on a trip we can either get a travel trailer or Class A RV.

      <![CDATA[We got about 40 MPG on interstate and about 32 MPG in city pulling teardrop trailer. We went 2850 miles in about 12 days.

Our little teardrop was quite the conversation piece. I shook a lot of hands and met a lot of really nice people on our journey. RV and Boat people are the best. They are friendly and willing to help.

While I don't recommend the following installation technique, it is a great way to show how strong the solar panels are.]]>
      <![CDATA[I installed three panels on my teardrop trailer. These panels were placed here for 3 reasons. 

1. The solar panels protected my air conditioner's coil.
2. The solar panels were now stowed and ready for travel.
3. To demonstrate the reliability of the panels.


Here are a few pics of the trailer on its nearly 3000 mile journey.

The panels still produced equal amounts of power after being punished on our journey. Someone asked me on the trip if I was worried about breaking my solar panels, since they were so fragile. I explained the advantages of our panels and made a sale in the parking lot.

The proof on these solar panels is in the pudding.
