Some time ago on our last trip to the Florida Keys I concocted an elaborate conspiracy involving an endangered species and a speed trap. We drove through Deer Key. Elaborate speed controls are in place advising that SPEED KILLS DEER and also every zone is 35MPG. huge fences surround the street. We looked and watched and even gazed in hopes of catching a glimpse of Key Deer. Unfortunately none were to be found. So that is where the conspiracy theory came in.
However on this trip I was amazed to see either a token new species or there is actually a real short endagered species of deer that is only found in the Florida Keys.
Here are the pics of the Deer that I saw. It was a really small buck. It only had 1 antler but looked like it would have been a 10 point. I have joked with many people about my theory of these deer while working at Outside Supply, should I call them all back? LOL
This deer was really cool. It was almost like a miniature deer. A buck should be or is expected to be much bigger.
Either way the speed trap either has a mascot or it is not a speed trap at all, and they are protecting a really cool unique species of deer.
I think the latter, now.
By the way we used a 300 Watt True Sine Wave Inverter to charge our Canon 40D camera and toshiba laptop on this trip.
