We Visit Turtle Hospital in Marathon (Florida Keys)

    Turtle Trip
We went to the Florida Keys in late January and Early February 2008. We stopped at the Turtle hospital in Marathon. This place rocks!!!!

They are really making a difference. This is no canned tour. It is a direct in your face operation that makes a difference.

This was the best $15.00 tour I think I have ever been on. While we were there my Daughter and I witnessed a turtle coming in to the hospital. It was being attacked by birds and was rescued by tourist.

Turtle Rescued While we were there

My daughter was in awe of the operation and the staff and volunteers really went out of there way to help her feel welcome.

She also left with an amzing desire to see more turtles and also an unquenchable desire to say Bubble Butt.

Bubble Butt is a condition in sea turtles caused by trauma from boat strikes. An air pocket forms causing the turtle to have well a bubble butt. This bubble adds floatation and misforms the shell.

Just a plug for our products. We charged our camera battery and laptop on the Go Power 300 Watt True Sine Wave Power Inverter on this trip. It really makes digital Photography on trips a dream.
